Private Jet Photo Shoot
A Luxury Hospitality Shoot Above the Runway
Luxury hotel photography offers a glimpse behind otherwise-closed doors. Our latest project took us from hotel spaces to a private-jet photo shoot.
We spent a fantastic day on board a Challenger 350 private jet, creating imagery for one of our hotel clients. The brief called for photography that conveyed the comfort, elegance, and considered service associated with a luxury stay, but within the distinctive environment of a private aircraft. It was a setting that felt both familiar and entirely new: refined interiors, carefully finished details, and a level of calm that contrasted beautifully with the activity of the airport around us.
Planning for an Airside Photography Shoot
A shoot like this may look effortless in the finished photographs, but it takes considerable preparation. Working airside involves a detailed process of security paperwork, permits, and approvals from both the airport and the jet company. Every aspect of access needed to be planned in advance, ensuring that our team, equipment, and schedule met the requirements of a live aviation environment.
Once on board, the pace was purposeful. Time around an aircraft is precious, and we needed to work efficiently while giving every image the attention it deserved. The compact space brought creative challenges, from framing the cabin to balancing available light and highlighting the materials, finishes, and sense of space that make the Challenger 350 so inviting. We focused on details that create an exceptional guest experience.
Turning Details into a Visual Story
The shoot was also a reminder that strong hospitality photography is about more than a beautiful room. It is about atmosphere, movement, people, and the feeling a space leaves with you. From the moment we stepped on board, the team helped make the day feel welcoming and highly professional, allowing us to tell the story through the lens.
Every successful photo-shoot begins long before the camera comes out. We review the client’s visual priorities, plan a shot list around the available time, and consider how the final photographs will be used across websites, brochures, social channels, and editorial features. On this project, that preparation allowed us to capture both wide, elegant views and smaller moments that communicate care: the curve of a seat, the texture of a finish, and the anticipation of departure. These details help translate a physical experience into imagery that guests can connect with before they arrive, inspiring confidence, curiosity, and a desire to travel.
“Girl Power!” on Board
One particularly memorable moment came during a conversation with the aircraft’s captain, Margherita Ipsevich of VistaJet. She explained that this was an unusual day: the flight had an all-female crew. Her response captured the spirit perfectly: “Girl Power!”
A fitting note to end the day, it reflected the energy, expertise, and teamwork involved in making a demanding shoot run smoothly. Projects such as this bring together a unique location, a skilled crew, and a creative brief that asks us to look at hospitality from a fresh perspective.
